FALL  HIGHWAY  CLEAN-UP  TIME

The leaves are changing and it is time to come together to clean-up Highway 50 before the weather starts to change even more.  The summer seems to have just flown by and before everyone realizes it, deer season will be here.  The clean-up is being hosted this Fall by Larry and Brenda Sullivan on Saturday, October 1st, at 3:00pm in the afternoon.  Please bring a dish to share to enjoy the Potluck Supper after the work is over and have a chance to visit with neighbors and enjoy the beauty of the colors all around.

Hi all,

A note on a couple of subjects.  First as your new association president I can only hope to do nearly as good a job as our out going president, Terry Goodrum.  I would like you to feel free to contact myself, our new directors, Doug Lennier, Don James, Joanna Wallenberg, - our incumbent officers Linda Eickman, Larry Sullivan, Tom Wagner or June Goetzke if you have any questions or concerns regarding our lake.

The boat parade, held July 3, was an awesome success.  Twenty-eight floating entries partook, a record for us and as best we can tell, the highest participation of any single lake in our region.  Special kudos to Cal Bateman for his beautifully decorated vintage craft - were the balloons there in case of a water tightness issue?  And Tom "Crash" Ellingson for the commemorative frisbees - a very nice touch.
Finally a "Thank You" to all our residents, members of TILA or not!

This past week we had our annual lake wide garage sale, which brought hundreds of people into our neighborhood.  These people repeatedly expressed how impressed they were by our friendly nature, by our lake, by our homes.  Congratulations to each and every one of our neighbors.

Glen Wolters - President

Please also check your records and if you haven't sent your membership form and check to Larry Sullivan - please do so now so that the records for 2011-2012 can be completed. Thank you again.

Greetings Everyone,
Yesterday dawned bright and breezy. The Adopt-A-Highway volunteers met at 4pm and were finished in plenty of time to enjoy the bountiful potluck dishes.
A big THANK YOU goes out to John & RuthAnn Brady, June Goetzke, Dennis & Terry Goodrum, Dave & Linda Mager, Pat & Dorothy Noyes, Larry & Brenda Sullivan, and Glen & Susan Wolters for making our neighborhood a cleaner place.
Special thanks to Dave & MaryJane Keller for use of a dumpster.

Greetings Everyone,
First, Happy Easter to you and your families.
Next, the lake map is in the final stages of assembly. If you want a contact telephone number listed (lake #, home #, cell #, etc.) advise June of your decision.
Also, the board will be meeting on Monday, April 25. If you have any issues you want us to discuss, send them via e-mail to June Goetzke, our secretary.
Finally, the Spring Clean-Up of highway 50 will take place on Friday, April 29. Meet at the Noyes residence at 4pm for vests and trash bags. Bring your own work gloves, please. Following the clean-up, Dorothy and Pat will be hosting a potluck dinner so don't forget a dish to pass. See you there.

Hello Everyone,

Good News from Two Inlets Lake. There was standing water on the ice earlier this week as the temps soared towards 50. Though we are still weeks away from the ditch pick-up, it is nice to be able to wear light-weight coats and gloves.

The March gathering was held March 17th at Foxy's with 12 members attending. The mood was merry due to St. Patrick's Day and we also celebrated the birthdays of Pat Noyes and Dennis Goodrum. Thanks to Dorothy Noyes for planning the gathering and to Susan Wolters for the fabulous 3-layer cake.

The Ronnebaum Creek proposal has taken a new turn. Glen Wolters has created a sign that will be placed along the creekway. He has also secured written permission from Renee Wilmes for the association to install and maintain the sign on her property. This will be in place of pursuing this endeavor through the County. Thank you Glen for your work on this issue.

Positive feedback was also expressed in regards to the Facebook page that Linda Eickman has created. You will find it on the home page at www.twoinletslake.org . Thank you Linda for providing another way to reach our members.

I brought along the list of all 103 names and addresses for the lake map for review. It was suggested that telephone numbers be added to make the listings more complete. If you want your lake phone number to appear, contact me by April 11. Click on the home page of the website to e-mail me or give me a call at 218 732-0401.

Three Board vacancies will be up for election at the annual meeting. The positions are President and two Directors. Please consider submitting your name for these posts so we can keep our lake association active and running smoothly. Contact any Board member if you are interested in running for these offices. We need as many people participating as possible.

Sincerely,
Terry Goodrum

Greetings Everyone,
Well, Winter has not ended up here at the lake. It was -37 one night and then almost +50 the following week. Oh yeah, it has snowed again but it did cover up all the nasty stuff along the roadways.

Sadly we have lost another member/neighbor with the passing of Pete Peterson. Our sympathies go out to Nancy and the entire Peterson family.

24 members were at the January gathering and the weather cooperated. Conversations revolved around lots of topics including the Ronnebaum Creek petition, high-speed Internet service, or lack of, and Aquatic Invasive Species to name a few.

The March get together will be on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 at 5:30pm. The venue will again be Foxy's at 26146 County 89. Please R.S.V.P. with Dorothy at 218 732-2668. Dust of your best Irish accent and join us.

Sincerely, Terry Goodrum
